Privacy policy
Who we are
Hestia Audit & Conseil is a restaurant profitability consulting business based in Montréal. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
Person in charge of personal information
The owner of Hestia Audit & Conseil is responsible for the protection of personal information. For any question or request: hestia.audit.conseil@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- When you write to us or book a call: your name, the name of your business, your email, your phone number and the content of your message.
- When you become a client: the details needed for the contract and invoicing, and the management documents you send us (sales, invoices, inventories, total payroll). We do not ask for any personal information about your employees.
- This website uses no tracking cookies, no audience measurement and no advertising.
How we use it
This information is used only to reply to you, prepare and carry out your assignment, invoice you and meet our legal obligations. It is never sold or used for advertising. Examples published on our social media are sample cases built from example figures.
Service providers and storage location
We use established services for email, calendar and document storage (Google Workspace), file management (Notion) and hosting this website. These providers may store data outside Québec. Before using them, we assessed that they provide adequate protection, and access to client files is limited to Hestia Audit & Conseil.
Retention
Exchanges with people who do not become clients are deleted after two years without contact. Documents from an assignment are kept as set out in the contract, then destroyed or returned to the client. Accounting records (contracts and invoices) are kept for six years, as tax law requires.
Your rights
You may request access to your information, its correction or deletion, or withdraw your consent, by writing to hestia.audit.conseil@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Confidentiality incidents
If an incident presents a risk of serious harm, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and we keep a register of incidents.
Changes
Any change to this policy is published on this page with its update date.
